I'm the person behind GrowHaus. I built this site because I made every beginner mistake in the book — and I didn't want you to have to.

I grew up with a patchy vegetable garden and a habit of killing houseplants. Not a great starting point. But somewhere in my mid-20s, I got obsessed with the idea of growing tomatoes year-round — the kind you actually want to eat, the ones from farmers markets that taste like actual tomatoes instead of red-flavored water.
So I bought a cheap polytunnel greenhouse from a clearance sale. Put it up badly. Watched it blow away in the first winter storm. Re-built it with concrete determination and spite, and that's when things started to actually work.
What I learned in that first year wasn't in any book. It was: your greenhouse will do things the instructions don't cover. Temperature gradients, microclimates, when to open the vents, when to close them, why one tomato plant thrives three feet from another that just sulks. These things only make sense once you've watched them happen.
I don't have a horticulture degree. I have a notebook full of things that killed plants, and a few pages that didn't.
When I was starting out, I kept hitting the same wall: every resource assumed I already knew things I didn't. "Position your greenhouse to maximize sunlight." Okay, but what if my garden runs north-south? "Watch for pests." Which pests? What do they look like? Where do they hide?
The internet had greenhouse content. It just wasn't written for someone who genuinely didn't know where to start. So I started taking notes — the real stuff, the embarrassing failures, the specific things that worked.
GrowHaus is those notes, cleaned up and organized. Everything here is written from the ground up, based on what actually happens in a beginner's greenhouse. No recycled content, no AI-generated fluff. If something's on the site, it's because I either tried it, watched it fail, or know why it works.
Simple: help you set up and run a greenhouse without making the mistakes I made. That's it. Not a community, not a marketplace, not a coaching service. Just good, honest information — written for people who don't know the difference between a vent and a ridge yet.
