No harassment
Don't insult, belittle, or personally attack other growers — especially beginners. We've all been there.
No spam
No promotional posts, affiliate links, or repeated self-promotion. One helpful answer that mentions your own site is fine; a campaign is not.
No dangerous instructions
Don't recommend things that could cause real harm — chemical misuse, unsafe electrical modifications, structural failures. Sound advice only.
No illegal content
Nothing illegal to share, request, or discuss. Keep everything within the law.
No impersonation
Don't pretend to be someone else — not the founder, not another grower, not a brand representative.
No posting private information
Don't share other people's personal details — phone numbers, addresses, or other private info they haven't posted publicly themselves.
No misleading product promotions
Don't post fake reviews or misleading recommendations disguised as honest advice. If you have a financial stake in a product, say so.
No duplicate posts
Don't post the same question multiple times. If your post doesn't get an answer, update it rather than reposting.
What happens if you break these rules
We moderate the community to keep it useful and welcoming. Here's how enforcement works:
- First minor violation: Your post or reply may be edited or removed. We'll usually note why in the thread.
- Repeated violations: Your account may be temporarily suspended from posting.
- Serious or deliberate violations: Permanent ban from the community. No appeal.
What to do if you see a problem
If you see a post that violates these guidelines, don't engage with it publicly. Email us at growhaus@polsia.app with the link to the post and a brief description of the issue.
Don't try to moderate other users yourself — that's our job.
What makes a good community post
- Be specific: "My tomatoes are turning yellow at the base — Zone 7b, polycarbonate greenhouse, watering every other day" gets better answers than "my plants are sick."
- Share context: What type of greenhouse do you have? What's your climate? What have you already tried? The more relevant detail, the better the advice.
- Be respectful of others' time: Search the community first — your question may already be answered. If you've already asked and gotten no response, update your post rather than reposting.
- Pay it forward: If you've learned something from the community, help the next person. That's how this stuff works.
