What information we collect
Email signups
When you subscribe to the GrowHaus newsletter, you give us your name and email address. We use this to send you weekly greenhouse tips, seasonal reminders, and occasional product recommendations. We also track which emails we've sent you so we don't repeat them.
Community posts and replies
If you post a question or reply in the GrowHaus community, we store your name, your message, and the timestamp. This is publicly visible on the community page along with your chosen display name.
Analytics and tracking
GrowHaus uses a visitor beacon pixel to count unique visitors — a randomly generated ID stored in your browser's localStorage. We do not use cookies for analytics, and we do not track you across other websites. The beacon sends your visitor ID and the page you're visiting to our analytics provider. No personally identifiable information is included.
We also use Meta Pixel (Facebook) on all pages. It tracks page views and, if you sign up through our form, may fire a "Lead" event. It does not give us access to your Facebook profile.
Payment information
GrowHaus does not store your credit card number, billing address, or bank details. Payments are processed by Stripe, whose servers handle all sensitive financial data. When you donate or purchase the $19 Build Plan, Stripe tells us whether the payment succeeded and the email address you used — but we never see your card number.
Affiliate link clicks
When you click an affiliate link on GrowHaus (Amazon Associates links tagged with kristianmil03-20), your click is recorded by Amazon's affiliate program. This is standard practice for affiliate tracking and is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy.
How we use your information
- Send newsletters and drip email sequences you've signed up for
- Record which emails have been delivered so we don't send duplicates
- Moderate community posts (remove spam, enforce community guidelines)
- Record guide completion so you can resume where you left off
- Generate aggregate analytics (how many people visited, which pages are most popular) — no individual-level tracking
- Detect and suppress bouncing email addresses to protect sender reputation
What we don't do
- We don't sell your email address or personal data to third parties
- We don't use your data to build advertising profiles
- We don't track you across other websites
- We don't share your community posts with marketers
Third-party services we use
- Stripe — processes credit card payments. Their privacy policy applies to your payment data.
- Polsia Email Proxy — sends our newsletters and transactional emails (welcome emails, unsubscribes). They handle delivery and bounce tracking on our behalf.
- Polsia Analytics — visitor beacon pixel. Data is used for GrowHaus traffic analytics only.
- Meta Pixel — Facebook conversion tracking. Governed by Meta's privacy policy.
- Amazon Associates — affiliate program. Click tracking is governed by Amazon's privacy policy.
Data retention
We keep your email address and signup record for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your record is kept with a suppression flag so we don't email you again — even if our system reboots.
Community posts remain on the site until you delete them or we remove them under our community guidelines.
Page view logs are kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
Your rights
- Unsubscribe — every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and we'll stop sending within 24 hours.
- Request deletion — email us at growhaus@polsia.app and we'll delete your subscriber record and community posts within 30 days.
- View your data — ask us and we'll show you what we have on file for you.
Children's privacy
GrowHaus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 13.
Cookies and localStorage
GrowHaus uses localStorage to store your A/B test variant assignment and your anonymous analytics visitor ID. These are first-party only and are not shared with any third party other than our analytics provider through the beacon pixel.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

GrowHaus contains links to Amazon product pages and USDA resources. Once you click those links, their privacy policies apply. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date. For minor operational changes (e.g., switching email provider), we'll update the policy text and note the change in the next newsletter.
